1. How many players make one table of Bridge?

There are 4 players at a Bridge table, two teams of 2 players, and partners sit opposite each other.
2. Who is East’s Partner?
| North | East | South | West |
West is East’s partner. North and South make up the other partnership at the table. The seating arrangement corresponds to the 4 directions on the compass.
3. If a player bids 4 ♥, which are valid next bids?
| 2 ♠ | 4 ♠ | 5 No Trump | 6 ♥ |
All of the bids are valid next bids except for 2 ♠. The 2 ♠ bid must have a level greater than or equal to 4.
4. If North wins the contract, who leads the first card?
| North | East | South | West |
The player to North’s right leads the first card. That would be East.
5. North leads the 5 ♠, and ♥ is trump. Which of the played cards wins the trick?
| 5 ♠ | 8 ♠ | 2 ♥ | Q ♠ |
The 2 ♥ would win the trick because ♥ are Trump.
6. If South bids 5 ♦, how many tricks must South win to have a successful contract?
| 10 | 11 | 12 | 13 |
A 5 ♦ bid needs 11 tricks, the required 6 tricks to make book and 5 more tricks to make the bid.
